LAUREN CONRAD

When I look at Lauren Conrad, I see a down to earth girl, who has outstanding fashion. Lauren is someone that I look up to for fashion advise, and no doubt, I also have her fashion book that she published in 2010. Her tips and tricks have really helped me establish my own sense of style when it comes to fashion, and her is one of my favourite outfits that she has paired together.

This outfit is dressy, and casual all in one. The are the kind of outfits that I like. The ones that look like you tried to look good, but you paired it with a casual cardigan and strappy sandal's to dress this look down. Also this hair style below is the hair do that is her famous signature, and is also one of my favourite ways to do my hair, and also putting the braid back into a high/low messy bun.

AROUND THE HOLIDAYS !

When I wake up in the morning and there is snow falling from the sky, just sitting around the fireplace with a warm cup of tea in my hand is what I love most about a cold winters day. I have many favourite tea flavours, but my favourite is green tea. Not only is it delicious, its also really good for your metabolism. But for today, I decided to crack open a different style of tea, and that was my yumberry blackcurrant herbal tea from stash. This tea is a herbal tea, so with herbals you have the option to make the flavour rich or dull just by adding sugar. 

I can never get enough of tea, and this tea has such a soothing taste to it, it's a to die for tea flavour. The one this that caught my eye about this tea was that it was caffeine free. When I saw that, my jaw dropped. With me, caffeine doesn't sit well in my stomach, so if I drink anything with caffeine in it, I will get shaky, feel really sick and I will be in bed for hours. Not in the mood for a night on the dance floor, grab your best friends, and your chick flick movies, and have a soothing night with out the hang overs in the morning.

The OC

Back in the day, when the OC was big everywhere, I was a big fan of Mischa Barton. Every time I watched the OC, I would go crazy over Ben Mackenzie, and think that Mischa Barton & Rachel Bilson were so pretty. Now that I am 5 years older from when it started airing, I look up to Mischa and Rachel for fashion ideas. When I was younger I didn't look for the way people dresses or the makeup that they had all. All I was interested in was the show.. which was good, but now that I have all the seasons, I watch them over and over again just getting makeup ideas, and fashion ideas. You all know that having your own style is better than copying someone else because it's your personality that should show in your outfits, not someone else's. But nit picking from people that you look up to is a great way to make your own creative style come together. These pictures of Mischa and Rachel are to show you something similar to what I would wear. 

On Mischa, the thing that I would change to make the outfit a bit more "me" would be to make the dress come 2 inches above the knee, and make it one length. Also, pairing it with Christian Louboutin red soled black suede pumps, instead of black studded boots. 

On Rachel, the thing that I would change about her outfit would be to change the shoes to the tessie bottie by coach in graphite to add some edge to the classy sky blue dress! Don't be afraid to test drive un sure outfits when you run errands, instead of to school, because you don't want to be judged by your friends just yet! Just remember, "Fashion fades, style is eternal".

Cozy Outfit

I love the days when its cold and raining outside, and when mom used to call it an "inside day". Now, when I want to relax and be comfortable, this is something that I would reach for in my closet, throw on, make a hot cup of green tea, and sit in front of the fireplace, listening to Alexandre Desplat.

The Beginning..

Welcome to raspberries & vintage. I wanted to start a blog because I want to share with everyone the secrets that I have learnt with makeup, fashion and more, also winter is right around the corner, and it is such a festive season! This blog is all about fashion, food and more. I will post as often as I can, but in the mean time, check out my youtube page, amandaawallace, where I make makeup tutorials and fashion videos. Anyways, winter is such a beautiful season, that I can't skip the warm and cozy fashion that goes along with it. I will post winter fashion, drink creations for the snuggle up against the warm fireplace, and dinners recipes that will stop the rumbling tummy!
